Before Your Visit: Important Considerations for Chattanooga Dog Parks

Proper planning for your dog park adventures is the key to an excellent experience for you and your dog. When planning your next trip to a dog park in Chattanooga, keep the following considerations in mind:

Heat & Water: Chattanooga can get very hot and humid during the spring, summer, and fall. Make sure you bring adequate water and a water bowl for your dog to ensure they stay hydrated and healthy while playing in the sun.

Dog Bags: While most dog parks offer free dog bags to pick up your animal’s waste, there will always be times when a park runs out of bags before a park management official can replace them. As such, always have a roll of dog bags handy to pick up after your dog, just in case the park you visit is currently out of dog bags.

Leash Rules: Many of the dog parks found in Chattanooga are adjacent to or near larger public parks that feature walking and hiking trails. Most of these parks require your dog to be on-leash when on the trails, so make sure to keep your leash handy if you plan to venture away from the fenced-in dog park areas.
